Illuminate returns to Ipswich this winter with a brand-new light trail set within the beautiful surroundings of Christchurch Park.
Now in its third year in Ipswich, Illuminate has already brought unforgettable winter light experiences to Holywells Park and Christchurch Park. For 2026, we’re delighted to be returning to Christchurch Park with a completely new route, a fresh layout, and spectacular light installations that have never been seen before at any of our Ipswich events.
Please note that the route, entrance, and exit for Illuminate Ipswich 2026 will be different from the 2025 trail, giving returning visitors a new experience to enjoy from the moment they arrive.
Tickets are expected to be in high demand, especially for peak sessions, so we recommend booking early to secure your preferred date and time. We look forward to welcoming you to Illuminate Ipswich 2026 for another magical winter evening at Christchurch Park.

Food at Illuminate
This year’s trail will feature a small food and drink court located halfway round, offering a diverse selection of hot food, drinks and sweet treats from our independent traders - More information on this years traders will be released soon.
The Trail
This years trail returns to the heart of Christchurch Park, with a new route, entrance and exit. Entering from Henley Road, the trail takes you through Christchurch Arboretum, exiting onto Fonnereau Road. Expect a 45-50 Minutes trail
Marshmallow Toasting
We'll be bringing premium marshmallow toasting pits back to Ipswich this winter! Indulge in delicious mega marshmallows around a warm fire. Enjoy a mulled wine or cider while toasting.
